A seminar happens in a working room; the meal happens elsewhere, and it is often the part people remember. Les Variétés welcomes study days at 33 boulevard du Maréchal Foch in Angers, in a brasserie open since 1902 — a few minutes on foot from the centre and from Saint-Laud station.
What we are not
Let us say it first, it will save a pointless call: we are not a seminar venue. There is no room equipped for a working day here, and no projection equipment to book. What we offer is the seminar's meal — the lunch that breaks the day, or the dinner that ends it — in a room kept for you.
The Salle Haute, thirty seats, upstairs
It is the format that suits a seminar: thirty people upstairs, in a space nobody walks through. You can speak up without drowning the next room, and stay as long as you need. The Bressigny room, twenty-five seats, plays the same part on the ground floor. These capacities were counted table by table on 31 August 2026: when we confirm thirty covers, the room holds them.
The restart time decides everything
A seminar runs to a programme, and lunch is wedged between two sessions. Give us the time you have to leave: the service is built around it. A table that must rise at 1.50 p.m. is treated as such from the moment it orders. It is the only piece of information that genuinely changes how the meal runs.
Agree two or three dishes in advance
For a group, this is what saves the most time. A choice settled beforehand leaves the kitchen in one go; an open menu for thirty people spreads the service across forty minutes. We settle it by telephone a few days ahead, from the current menu.
The convention centre and the exhibition centre
Many seminars in Angers are held at the Jean Monnier convention centre or at the exhibition centre. We have a page for each, with the distances and the habits peculiar to those two places. This one is about the seminar itself, wherever it is held.
Luncheon vouchers and expenses
We accept luncheon vouchers, Sodexo and Bimpli, as well as credit and debit cards, American Express included. An invoice in the company's name can be asked for when paying. These are ordinary questions, better settled here than at the moment of the bill, in front of your participants.
At the table
A French brasserie menu cooked on the premises: French meat, fish from Maison Savia in Saumur, vegetarian dishes and homemade desserts. Flag allergies and special diets when booking, not on arrival: across thirty covers, that is something we prepare.
Dinner, if the day overruns
We close at 2 a.m., Monday to Saturday. A seminar ending at half past seven therefore finds a table, and a team that wants to linger is not shown the door at ten. That is what separates a brasserie from a restaurant with sittings: the room stays open after dessert.
What we do not promise
An equipped working room. Private hire of the whole house: our five spaces run from thirteen to forty-three seats, and the rest of the service carries on. And Sunday, when we are closed all day.
